The 12 year olds that moderate the Beeb wouldn't get the reference.According to a Liverpool fan on the BBC, we've made the game of football an ugly place.
Surprised my reply of " Liverpool made it an ugly place in 1985" was allowed

Maynes coach from Mossley to Maine Road back in the day...The tv era has completely changed the nature of fandom. Used to be about family, school, location, one bus journey etc. Now it's just who is good on telly.
Now that one was our fault. We still mock them by saying they are still spending those fees.e
Liverpool fan on 606.
"We're still spending the coutinho and sterling money on signings, we haven't got the funds city have".
Couldn't stop laughing.
I am one of those that think that we should table a substantial bid for him - ideally this January - if only for shits and gigglescant wait until summer when they have no option but to cash in on Salah...
Not by a long chalk. He only became good when the scousers expressed an interest.Any talk about their lack of squad depth in terms of quality? And talk about TAA not being able to defend or the fact ‘the best CB in the world’ is actually not.
Correct. It's like they realised they had to hit an absolute peak in order to just challenge us, with all their players peaking at the same time. But with that comes a team whose players fade at the same time.It is increasingly starting to look like their very, very excellent team 18-20 was one put together to win a title rather than sustain success. They've got an aging squad, no midfield, an inability to manage a squad so players move on rather than stay and fight for a place, and have bought players at their peak or just past it.
They can have their pluckiest smallest biggest club all they want, they're failing to capitalise on winning the lottery in the transfer market and having the quality of manager they have and it isn't simply because we have money and they don't.
I guess, like so many other businesses, we can’t know the impact the pandemic has had more widely on FSG, and their other investments and interests, although I’m sure it hasn’t impacted on dividends as much as it has on player recruitment. It is increasingly starting to look like their very, very excellent team 18-20 was one put together to win a title rather than sustain success. They need to start rebuilding now or are they accepting being also rans for the final few seasons of Klopp’s reign. He’s had a year longer in the premier league than Pep, during that time Pep has built a 100 points and quadruple winning machine. Then dismantled it and rebuilt again into the side we see today. It is increasingly starting to look like their very, very excellent team 18-20 was one put together to win a title rather than sustain success.
