This is part of a larger piece in The Athletic by Simon Hughes, who is one of the Liverpool fanzine writers they employ (although not as bad as James Pearce).
So he's either gone out on a limb here or been spoon fed it by the Liverpool media team.
Does it include the offside goals they scored and some avoided that caught out match officials and var over the last few seasons. Ourselves and a game against West Ham immediately come to mind.View attachment 34853

From the little snippets I'd seen, it looked like an unusually critical piece from Hughes, but having just looked at the article I notice one of his key bullet points says "it is clear that Liverpool had no motive to get the game called off" which makes me think he has been spoon fed it by their media team.
