I think this is another example of why Liverpool fans need to start looking more closely and critically at FSG. It appears to be another example of cutting costs, looking for value and in the long term making money. ......and if as a result of that attitude we get lucky and find a degree of chemistry in players and happen to win something, then that is just a bonus.

A good player, not a great player. One who fitted the way Klopp wanted the team to play and just linked people together...and I seem to recall one manger not liking him because of the way he ran.

Not sure I can agree with your sentiments about another 3 decades though. I wonder how many more years it has to be of the title not going over towards Salford before there will be a "counter" in one corner of the Etihad?
I don't think that we would resort to doing something so crass.
For one thing it would give the cnuts more media exposure, something they have more than enough of already.
Hopefully they will just fade into mediocrity and their 'Derbies' will be against Rochdale or Accrington Stanley...

Really doesn't surprise me, It's the way Liverpool operate since FSG took over. They couldn't wait to get Gerrard out the door too aking with Wijnaldum. They'll be looking to move Henderson on whilst there is still value on him.
No matter how we all rate Henderson he still played massive roles in getting them their first league title in 30 years along with a European Cup. He should really be offered a new deal.
Saw slbsn (@projectriver on here) mention this on Twitter the other day, but potentially a bigger problem for Liverpool is the fact that Salah, Mane and Firmino are all 29 and also entering the final two years of their existing deals. They'll be reluctant to offer them all lucrative new deals, but replacing them were they to run down their contracts would be incredibly expensive.

Saw this on Twitter,is it me or is this totally wrong?

Not forgetting that they think they are not English, they should set up their own system. What fun when most countries would not let them in.

Pandemic fucked Liverpool, thankfully, as they would have cashed in on one of the big players after winning the league. Value has dropped on all of them now though, hahaha.

Isn't the African Cup of Nations in Jan / Feb 22, with both Salah and Mane going, i assume. Apart from them being missing for 3 weeks or so, it will be tough going after the Christmas schedule. Need to be getting a big order in to Ventolin for the second half of the season.

It'll be interesting to see how many fans of the other clubs boo Henderson when he leaves. How dare he leave the dippers.
Might be worth a sweepstake on how quickly the death threats appear on social media.

I read an interesting article a few backs that expressed the opinion this will become the new norm. Clubs will allow players honour their contracts and leave for free. The days of being stuck with an Ozil or Bale are a thing of the past. It's fair point too, some players age gracefully, others just hit a wall one day and they're done.

we have done that for years

A bulk order of special juice and Caffeine pills has been delivered to Liverpool's training ground.

Klopp looked concerned that Andy Robertson was playing like Andy Robertson in training.
