Is this the first time Klopp's taken domestic competitions seriously?
He put out a reserve team v Leicester in the Caraboo and were lucky to win as 3-1 down in the first half, their player Morton should have had a straight red but typically for how they are officiated, he only got a yellow. Doubt they would have come back to win with 10 men

I think Declan Rice is there for the taking for somebody this summer and I don't think Liverpool have many weakness elsewhere. Perfect Henderson replacement in that he is actually a good footballer
I think Rice is also a perfect Ferna replacement and we should be balls deep in for him. He loves Pep and is constantly going on about how great City's footbal is. It will be another massive transfer fuck up if we let him go to a main rival. At the very least we should be bidding the price up to weaken them economically.

Rice will go to Chelsea. No way Liverpool pay his fee when they’re struggling to pay Salah the wages he wants

Fixtures between now and the end of the season looking likely to be:

United (H) - 19th April
Everton (H) - 24th April
Villarreal (H) - 27th April
Newcastle (A) - 30th April 12.30 KO
Villarreal (A) - 3rd May
Tottenham (H) - 7th May
Aston Villa (A) - 10th May
Chelsea (N) - 14th May
Southampton (A) - 18th May
Wolves (H) - 22nd May

Hopefully they've given themselves one game too many by winning yesterday.
I think they will slip up, the problem we have is we need them to slip up before we do

if we hand them the initiative it will be very difficult for us to claw that back

win our next two and it puts big pressure on their game away to Newcastle who have some five in a row at home

On the same weekend we have Leeds away which is also a tricky game

that weekend could be pivotal but we have to win our next two

Met one at a party last night who told me he "gave up" after they won the league and didn't follow it at all last season, but somehow rediscovered his interest this season. I wonder what happened to cause that momentary lapse in interest.....

I really don't see this line from many on here that you were playing a second XI. Practically everyone one of your players would walk in to almost every other team in the Prem....so I do look at it and see that midweek game as being what shafted you this weekend.

Well see it like this. There where 7 first team players who didn't take a part.
So it would be like Liverpool where missing these players.

1) no Ederson = no Allison
2) no Walker = no Trend
3) our best central defender Dias = Virgil
4) our second central defender this season Laporte = Matip
5) Gundogon = Henderson
6) Rodri = Fabinho
7) our star and best player Kevin De Bruyne = Mo Salah

Always thought the same about Chelsea but the ownership issue may but the brakes on it and how long will Rice wait? I suppose it depends if West Ham can win the Europa and get themselves in the Champions League.

I can't see them winning every game out of that lot - only 3 days between many of those matches. Fair play to them if they do it, or, if we slip up and make it easy for them. Their next 2 of United and Everton look like being their easiest games!

I wonder. My ex brother in law, who supports this lot, told me once when they weren’t as good as they are now, that he had lost a lot of intrest as the football they were laying wasn’t that great. I stated that as City fans had we deserted them when we were going up and down the leagues we would have gone out of business. I also told him that we were better fans than them because of loyalty in dark times.
