Us, Chelsea and Villarreal can stop them and I believe at least one of us will

What about Real Madrid?

I think we'll stop them in the league. We have the know how to get through the games. There were so many towards the end of 19 season where we saw a way through. Spurs 1-0 at home, Leicester 1-0 away, Burnley 1-0 away and 1-0 down to Brighton.

I understand that, and for context, I was oddly at Anfield for the 20th anniversary of hillsborough, the one where Burnham gave his speech. My mrs is from Bootle and we were sorting out our wedding venue out over there, realised what day it was, and thought we'd go and pay our respects. She's a toffee but also lost a couple of school mates at Hillsborough.

But suggesting that Manchester school kids should be taught about it is beyond fucking ridiculous. Yes, there was a cover up, but there's been all sorts of bullshit coverups over the years. You want to have a course on gov cover ups? Sound. But them trying to make out like they're the only ones who've ever been shat on, especially after the behaviour of their own fans over the years? They can fuck right off.

Oh yep I agree to an extent. To be honest with the state of the country now, there are more important things kids should be getting taught and I say this as someone from the city. I just think that framing it as wanting to tell the countries kids about a disaster is wrong as its not what it is.

I think the implementation of the Hillsborough law is more important. As this prevents future Hillsboroughs, Steven Lawrence, Daniel Morgan cases, Grenfells etc. I think thats something every person should be behind

To be fair, its not necessarily for the disaster itself as there have been so many. Its more aimed at education regarding the coverup and lies that, looking at some comments that still get made, are still perpetuated today even after the recent verdict. The fact that the government are still at it with the likes of Grenfell, is abhorrent
By all means use it as an example, but not a whole f*cking lesson on it. Their fans aren't the only group of people who've sufferd the effects of a cover up. This just feeds their eternal victim complex.

I agree with you, but didnt agree with how it was framed. As I said, it would be wonderful to teach the kids about institutional corruption, but I doubt that would be allowed on the curriculum!!

It is shocking what went on and the lie is still alive today in some parts, but personally I believe there are more important things to teach kids this day and age so I dont agree with it either. Its more important to get the Hillsborough law passed

That is the correct way of thinking and the way I have always thought. Broke my heart when I saw Hillsborough unfolding, as did the Bradford fire tragedy. But I will not be held to ransom morally by a club and its set of fans who have none at all.

It’s a horribly real possibility these overhyped twats could win all 4. They’re officiated in an entirely different manner. They have momentum that we should have smashed and let’s be honest their fixtures are no harder than ours. It does not bear thinking about these twats winning the lot.
Chelski to win F.A.Cup
Us to win C/L
P/L too close to call
imo

got a whatsapp going on about respect given to ronaldo ,showed class unlike the respect (or supposed lack of respect) by city fans, i replied when was the last time the 39 juve fans were shown respect, cant remember seeing ever anything shown about this .

2 clubs in this country have cornered the grief market by using respect as a tool.

Remember a few years ago, think it was 2014 after Steveeee Geeee slipped, on their tour of the US, they definitely held a minute's silence for Hillsborough in at least one of the games (think it was in Boston). This was in July. "Come, buy your Liverpool tickets, get your replica top and tell your friends you got to join in one of the hallowed minute's silences". Thought that was fucking disgraceful. Turning legitimate grief into a marketing tool.
