It now means instead of a week off between Brentford at home and Palace away they play the Thursday night so could impact those premier league games.

Not sure what they'll do if they cant get a team out for the FA Cup game on Sunday against Shrewsbury and that has to played at a different point.

They'll just play the kids at the weekend...
 
I can't understand how people think this is to their advantage, early January is the lightest period of the schedule until the end of the season, not playing a game now and shoving it in later down the line has no benefits for liverpool.

Seeing the new dates, instead of playing it tomorrow with an easy tie against Shrewsbury on Sunday they now have to play it between 2 league games against Brentford and Palace, I'll take that.

Plus they still won't have any of their AFCON contingent back by then either
