Saw a story today that they use a local firm, most of the other clubs use a different one.

Even if it does turn out to be an error at a lab, surely that's the whole point of an investigation. Work out what happened, what the consequences were and what needs to be done to avoid it happening again.

Er they might need to use again especially if the backlog looks like affe ting their chumps league schedule.

If there has been a cock up then an investigation is paramount in order to learn lessons and prevent it from happening again in the future. The fact they are simply brushing this under the carpet speaks volumes.

So the cause of the false positives was investigated & source of the problem found, maybe you could point that out to the Scouse twitterati! Given it was over 12 months ago, the improvements made in testing since & the fact it all feels too convenient arouses more than a whiff of suspicion, they’re probably scraping around for a willing partner to absolve the blame

Klipperty has come out and said the following which to my mind muddies the waters:

After previously saying the Covid outbreak that led to Liverpool’s first-leg game at Arsenal being called off was caused by 'a lot of false positives' Klopp clarified his comments on the matter.

“It’s a positive test,” he said. “When you are able to do a re-test, a day afterwards, it is negative.

“You then need to do a third test. And between the first and second, and the second and third test, we can’t use the players.

“When we got the first results, we had to consider it was the right result.”

WTF! Oh and Alexander - Arnold and Allison are back in training already

So everyone bar TAA all stopped being all stopped giving positive results at the same time.
