The problem with the conspiracies is they had no real motive to delay the game. They didn't get any players back, they didn't have a less congested fixture list, Arsenal were strengthened.

So the PCR testing was done by BioGrad, no link there and they weren't investigated by the EFL whose Chairman happens to be Rick Parry, no link there.

Parry's name turns up everywhere. He was a "security consultant" for the regime in Qatar for their "totally clean" World Cup bid. He's still a board member at New York Cosmos who are competing against New York City FC to build a new stadium in New York. He was also on the UEFA Investigations Committee during their FFP investigaton into Manchester City. Of course he is very media friendly and I'm sure he is very welcome in the Etihad boardroom whenever he visits our club.

Ask yourself, seriously, what is more likely.

Liverpool risk genuinely extreme punishment by engineering fake positive test results to delay a game by 1 weak without any sporting advantage.

Dalglish pulled a few strings to send some Liverpool FC money the way of his daughters tiny biotech lab, and it backfired spectacularly when the tiny, unqualified lab cocked up the tests.

Liverpool don’t risk genuine punishment because they don’t get punished.

It does seem far fetched but why would they;

- use a lab not recommended
- ask for a postponement before they know the results.
- don’t seem the slightest bit concerned that the contractors they’ve engaged in the work have caused them to cancel a fixture.
- EFL not investigate - why wouldn’t you want to know to avoid it occurring again.

The coach in this case, Cora, was cheating at Boston, sacked and then later found to have been cheating in a previous team.

Weren't Boston also investigated for illegal coach/player communications using Apple watches and had to promise not to do it again?

It's not a conspiracy to say FSG's baseball franchise was cheating. Whether FSG knew or not is another issue, but trouble does seem to follow them around.

The Houston Astros scandal came to light when he'd left and joined the Red Sox. The news came out, he got fired, then a big investigation into him found the Red Sox were breaking some rules about what was shown on video replays but they weren't cheating from it.
