Souness, who I normally think is fair, is wrong here. It’s not the referees job to be swayed by what’s gone on previously, it’s his job to referee the game fairly, and if he misses something like a penalty then var should make it for him.

Spot on I didn’t have a clue what he was getting at ......... now fair enough if VAR wasn’t in place ....... and the ref was on alert of his actions earlier on in the game but VAR was in place so his reasoning is bollocks ....... and do Sky realise that the majority of football fans cannot stand the spitting rats commentary when they score ....
