It’s ugly, just ask the families of the 39 who never came back from a game because of your fans.

It’s truly astonishing that they think they’ve got the right to pontificate about their European record. As if six European Cups/Champions League wins, the majority of which predate 1985, somehow mitigates the contrition and humility they should feel and display for their unlawful and fatal acts.

If they took responsibility for what happened at Heysel, and didn’t try to shift the blame elsewhere, or simply ignore it, then it certainly wouldn’t grate so much. They shouldn’t be expected to wear sackcloth and ashes ad infinitum, but maybe they should own what they caused a little more, and reflect upon it, before boasting about their European trophy haul.

One should not be allowed to extinguish the memory of the other.

The truth is, by any objective analysis, in terms of what really matters, and despite our disappointing record in the CL, their European record cannot be said to be superior to ours.

To suggest otherwise offends the memory of 39 people who never returned from a game.

They say leaders should set the tone and culture of an organisation. I think at Liverpool and City both the managers do this well.

On the one hand you have an increasingly demented looking bloke who insists on using inane phrases like 'mentality monsters'; has no sense of humour or irony and who whines as soon as something doesn't fall exactly their way.

On the other hand you have a suave fucker who can be a bit sarky but has a sense of humour, humility, just gets on with it when it goes a bit pear shaped and ultimately despite his clear genius and passion for the game is able to put it all in perspective.

I don’t know the specifics of any diagnosis and the drugs used then but it would be a massive red flag as it were as to why was it identified only when they arrive in Lpool. As part of the regular testing would this not have been thoroughly investigated and if not why not.
It seems when similar kicked off in cycling it is a huge issue.
