Guess it’s just the nature of social media now. People tend to be a bit more extreme online. Spoke to a few Liverpool fans at Wembley recently and they were all reasonable enough.

I’m all in favour of ridiculing the sanctimonious shit their fans come out with, and highlighting some of the rank hypocrisies, but if we’re at the stage where we can’t even acknowledge that they’re currently a very good team then I give up.

I'd give up, because as we acknowledge theyre a very good side they recognise us a financially doped team of cheating mercenaries who have no history and all our recent achievements are asterisked. What is gained from respecting a team who have no respect for you? (I am in complete agreement with you with regards to nuanced/vaguely intellectual argument btw but thought I'd proffer up a reason)

I don't know why they do it to themselves. I think the majority of their fans think it's their divine right to win the quadruple..
 
It's the whole media doing full on fellatio for them whilst ignoring their egregious wrongdoing that irks me...the dissing of our achievements is contemptible

I suppose those paragons of "socialist" virtue Mc Veigh and Dorris are fans as well eh?

The best way to view it is that this Liverpool team are an absolutely amazing team with a great manager.
The fact that we have still dominated the domestic cups is a testament to the fact that we have an even better team and manager.
 
I get, whilst not condoning, why scousers may boo the anthem. Up to them

But how many of the liverpool support yesterday were actual scousers? Would i be generous in saying 50%? Less?
Lets stick with 50%.
so half may have a genuine perceived grievance from 40+ years ago with the establishment.
the other half who have no actual geographical or family link to liverpool booed anyway.
Those same supporters will be in their locals in plymouth/wycombe/crewe/cambridge etc etc cheering on england in the world cup.

another bit of proof , if needed that liverpool fc is a cult and not a football club.
Utter bunch of weirdo’s.
 
They will be the only team in history to win 3 finals without scoring a goal in any of them yet the British press will tell everyone that they are the best thing since sliced bread.
Someone better let Madrid know that they need to start practicing penalties for the final v the tramps.
The jammy twats are going to win it I can feel it.
