I don't know maybe a % either way how do we know motives of individuals we haven't met - agree though that i bet there is a % that are trying to create some sort of image - if so that's pathetic. Others may have really strong feelings about tax payers money going to this fancy dress sham when Nurses are genuinely struggling ..just saying

Some things have never changed mate for years, they think they are exempt from all things in life,as they are unique, problem is it’s only them who think they are unique and they actually believe it

If they're booing the anthem down to personal choice/ hatred of the establishment and monarchy then I have no issue with that. But the impression I get is they're doing it as they believe it's part of the matchday experience and makes them edgy and controversial. By doing that they're bringing an element of shame on the city and club. A big part of their fanbase are from outside the city and few will have been affected by government decisions decades ago.

They purport to be this unique socialist club and maybe amongst their older fanbase that was true, I went school with many who were politically left wing but their fanbase now is totally different. They priced the local working class fans out of the stadium and they're not unique in that but they cling onto anti establishment mantra which leaves them open to massive claims of hypocrisy.
This s so true, I mean Manchester has a very similar make up, working class, former colliery areas, huge Irish diaspora all of that, but modern football is ridiculous, wages that are obscene, prices that are ridiculous, travel so expensive. It's hard for genuine socialists to reconcile their support for a Prem team. Goes against normal beliefs of equality really. mean 200,000 - 500,000 per week is crazy when we have more foodbanks than McDonalds currently. We have a warped mind set. I can't leave City alone tbh, i know loads who think the same and loads who now only watch non league football. But ..non league football is just the same mind set with less money ...look at Wrexham for e.g. huge investment - fans love it, they win

Must be trying to outdo each other over there in coming up with the most outrageous excuse for their drop-off in form compared to last season. That excuse is a new one even on us, and it doesn’t really stand up to scrutiny because while we battered them the other week, they still managed to turn up and beat us at Anfield in October then promptly reverted to type by losing to Forest the following week!
The one on there that really makes me laugh is Son of Spion.

He takes himself sooooo seriously - every now and then posting a ream of holier than thou shite - immediately followed by his flock posting their plaudits

What an absolute wanker

I couldn't give a shit about the royals and can't understand how any rational person can somehow think someone is better than them by birth, even when that person is a nonce. I also don't believe in whatever god is being mentioned in the anthem, so the words mean about as much to me as if they were 'Father Christmas save the Tooth Fairy'.

So I don't really care that the scousers booed. I didn't, as there were people around me at the match who held a different view and I saw no particular reason to offend them, I was just there to watch the football. Clearly some people would be offended by booing, and I think it's everybody's right to offend people if they want to, it's a personal choice, I chose not to yesterday.

Hopefully the scousers won't therefore mind if I mention victims next time we play them. Free speech and all that.
