I think sooner or later we will have a European Super League. It might even have two divisions.

When that happens, the rest of football will change to something like the 1960s. They will get little media coverage. What's left of 'top' football will be like the Championship is now. You might get a pro league underneath. Then the rest will be semi-pro. Crowds will be modest, but they will be 'real' fans. No plastics will care, any more than they do now for (say) Radcliffe Borough or Inverurie Loco Works.

The death of football is coming mate, and people are staring down the barrel smiling.

And the way the press/media dont talk over YNWA, what's all that about ?

When I watch back over villa game even though we were belting out bluemoon, Tyler still spoke over it.

It only happens for the dippers. Every bloody game sky BT etc stop talking over YNWA.

Might only be a small childish thing but it really annoys me. If you do it for the dippers do it for all the clubs that have a song.

Its clearly a biased thing to try and show of the dippers support around the world.

But it's just another example of how the press/media treat the dippers different to ofher clubs.
You need to ask? It's obviously because it means more, so much more! :)

When I see little kids wearing dippers kits and it's clear they arent from a footballing family.

I want to go over and ask them why they allowed them to follow liverpool. Of all the clubs you could choose you let the kiddies choose the dippers.

I want to show the family the coach attack videos, the history of us all being banned. I just dont get why you would allow your kiddies to support a team with a fan base like them.

But the family not being a football family wont know liverpool fans history as the press/media hide it very well.

My missus wanted to visit the Beatles museum etc. She saw the coach welcome and said we are never going there !
You dodged a bullet with the Beatles Museum!

Maybe another reason for media biased is because if you look at the pundits and presenters most of them grew up knowing Liverpool were the best so it gets ingrained.. Souness. Merson.. Le Tiss.. Wright.. Tony Gale etc were all young growing up in the 70s and 80s so wouldn't know anything other than Liverpool being a big club and winning everything in sight... this carries forward to there opinions now even tho Liverpool are no longer the big or successful club they once were.. factor in Redknapp.. Owen.. McManaman.. Ferdinand.. Beglin etc and you have younger pundits with Liverpool ties... its easy to see why Liverpool get special treatment from media circles... if you fast forward 20 years or more Chelsea and maybe City will have more pundits because they will of been the successful clubs from 2005 onwards while Arsenal..Spurs.. Liverpool and United fell away..
or better still ..have proper analysts talking about the game insightfully....maybe even create a discussion, instead we get served up pretty poor observations, little insight with a more partisan approach ...it grates on most fans / viewers...especially when the presenter keeps prodding the pundit about 'the special atmosphere...the special 'feeling' the club has (whatever club they are on about). I personally think keep that tosh off the telly, talk about midfield shape change due to...or forward dropping deeper to encourage a third man run etc...

although non league crowds even in step 7 / 8 are flying in a lot of areas Most are football supporters who just find the media narrative, globalisation of football all a bit...well shit

Its all about the global reach and marketing now... Liverpool have nailed it to be honest because young fans love to latch on to little ditties like.. it means more or you'll never walk alone etc.. these things get marketed to the hilt... the big push years ago was marketing in footballing developing countries like Africa. USA.. Far East and India... younger fans only want to be associated with winning brands which is no coincidence since Abramovic took over Chelsea have the fastest growing fanbase around plus they have won more trophies in that time than any other British team...

Even our (shit) politicians know that three-word slogans work. Because it's about the attention span of the lumpenproletariat. Let's be honest, modern football tactics are complex and hard to explain to anyone without specialist knowledge. So they don't try to do that. Instead, they come out with simplistic shite like 'magical Anfield nights.'

It's pure marketing bollocks, and it works. I don't know whether it can be defeated, except by similar marketing bollocks. I don't like it, but then nor do I like modern politicians, who are all sound bytes and bullshit, no substance. It's just the zeitgeist.

When will these pricks ever get it? The reason why they're despised so much by so many other fanbases isn't to do with the club itself and any success they might have. Sure, their owner is a scrawny-necked ****, Klopp is an annoying fucker at times, and they have horrible twats like Robertson playing for them but all that pales into insignificance against the main reason - their fanbase which is reviled across the nation. One that is even arguably more insufferable than United's and that's some fucking achievement. Of course, I know it's not all Liverpool fans and we've got our own dickheads but when you try and explain it to the mouth-breathers on Twatter it's all fingers in ears and heads in the sand.
The difference is the way the knobheads are viewed amongst the masses of fans. Every club has knobheads associated to it. The % varies greatly of course but in general every other club fans call out knobhead behaviour. I’ve seen plenty of blues acting like utter cunts and others intervening to defuse situations stop theft etc. however when it comes to Liverpool there’s some mass acceptance that violence theft jibbing are just part of who they are and makes them better fans. When a couple of dippers decide to steal a few crates of beer from a little off license they aren’t stopped by the masses if other fans, they are joined by the masses leaving the independent shop keeper thousands of out pocket. The complicity and acceptance stretching to the club and Merseyside police further compound it. The behaviour is never condemned and the perpetrators of such cuntish acts are never prosecuted.

I concur with the above poster, we, City, do have a fair share of nob heads, Southampton away a few years ago, some vile pissed up racist twats, picking on some young girl and her black boyfriend for the crime of being in love, scrotes were quick to get on their toes when confronted after a group of us ran across the road to help her and him, which was impressive considering the amount of falling down juice the vile racist bully shites had imbibed.

The blues at the battle of Good Friday who apprehended a pickpocket and got the wallet returned to the rightful owner, the tap got a few digs, but was not savaged.
