Me too. I've never met him but according to blues who have, he's one of the nicest players we've ever had. I've never heard anyone say a bad word about him. He comes from this little town called Killybegs and he's kind of a local hero there. I'm really hoping he doesn't turn out to be a horrible bastard like so many footballers.

@Grassland Blue HOLY FUCKING SHIT you dodged a bullet there.
Killeybegs is a fucking lovely place.

Trust me I've met him he's lovely, you've nothing to worry about there.

‘Was there ever any backup clips to that video supposedly of our fans singing the sun was right last week which, to me at least, was pretty clearly dubbed in. If it was genuine, it was loud enough for there to have been a host of clips backing it up surely?’

Dippers: city: no fans, shit fanbase, don’t make any noise. Liverpool: best loudest noisiest fans in the world, best atmosphere in the world.

Also dippers: yeah of course we could hear 20 or so city singing about hillsborough.

This is why the club’s response was so pathetic when they should have been backing us up. I know they would have had to choose their words carefully, but Pep’s response wasn’t in accord with that AND threw us to the wolves of the dishonest media to twist what he had said.

It’s fucking outrageous the way these cunts have been allowed to appropriate the meaning behind that song, which as you say, was sung by a around a couple of dozen supporters in any event.

The LFC cnuts are such crybabies. They object to any hint of disrespect. Even if it is oblique.

But at the same time, they feel free to boo the national anthem, sing IRA songs and even sing about 'Lizzie in a box'.
You try mentioning anything of this in a comments section in the mainstream media, however moderately, and see what happens.

They are actually beyond cnuts. Cnuts would be a compliment. I fucking hate the bastards. Way more than the Rags. (Sorry traditionalists.) Only the modern Tory Party comes close in my league of hatred, and at least you're allowed to slag off the Tories in mainstream media.

Uber cnuts. Why can people not see them for what they are?

We have always known that their fans are absolute weapons but now the club/manager and it's media train have fully acquiesced and followed suit.

It's difficult for me because when it comes to Liverpool (the city, the people, the football club, and a very large percentage of their followers), I become like them - a narrow-minded, hypocritical bigot.
With (almost) everything else in life I like to remain open minded and objective. I like to hear alternate opinions on things and I like to learn (I say 'almost' but I've no time for either religion or feminists).
So trying to be easy-going and getting along with people is important to me: we're none of us perfect and we've all made fuck-ups of our lives somewhere down the line so I could never be judgmental about my fellow men.

However, I really do have to draw the line at scousers.

In all my years of life (and there has been a few!) I have never met one single scouser that I've liked or felt a connection with. To a man they have all been dishonest, untrustworthy and downright treacherous. Every single one.
I don't like to say it because obviously not all scousers are that way inclined, there may well be a few that are decent, down to earth, honest and reliable, but I have never met them.
I've been in the music business all my life and I've played some big venues, recorded in some famous studios and met some fantastic people (getting exceedingly drunk with Denny Laine was one memorable moment in my life), but every scouser I've met - celebrity or not - within a couple of minutes of meeting him I've wanted the thump him.

It's just bizarre that in all walks of life you meet good and you meet bad, but in all my limited experience of philanthropy all the underhanded, sneaky, two-faced people I have ever had the ill fortune to chance upon have been scousers.

Apologies to all you decent, likeable scousers out there, but if I'd only met any of you for just a few seconds maybe my biased view of you all would not be so negative.

As Shankley himself once said:
'It's a Holy Trinity. The players. The manager. The fans'.
Each and all of them totally obnoxious. Put them together
and you have the spiteful, snidey, offensive, arrogant and self entitled club that Liverpool FC is and has been for many years.
I've said it before, I hate them and despise them more than the rags. I really do. The rags for all of their arrogance and posturing are basically harmless. On the other hand, LFC are a truly nasty and dangerous club as a lot of people to their cost have found out down the years.

They are even trying to for their own country by claiming not to be English. Well to be fair that's on 6 days a week because on the 7th the giros come and they are all speaking in rhyming slang.

Met a scouser a few years ago who, with a completely straight face, described himself as a conscientious objector to work. Fucking pissed myself. He had this complex moral argument that i'm sure went down a treat back home, but in the real world where if no one works everything falls apart it was the most scouse thing i've ever heard.

Sorry, but this is just awful, hateful shite. I can’t stand the LFC cult, but it stops at football. The people and city of Liverpool are not LFC. Spreading this level of hatred is disgusting.

They really do like an apology don't they? I'm surprised they didn't want another apology of Hodgson as his apology wasn't a big enough apology.
It’s not the apology they want

It’s the rewriting of history they are after.

Once the apology is made then their version of the facts becomes the “truth”

I'm guessing you're not the chairman of the Liverpool tourist board.

I think this probably says more about you than people from Liverpool.

Exactly. Great point and well made.

I have met and worked with some absolutely brilliant lads who happen to be from Liverpool. I mean real, salt of the earth type people who would do anything to help you out. I've also met the type you refer to, and there are plenty of them with that chip on their shoulder. Interestingly though, to a man the LFC fans turn into complete dicks when it comes to football. To the point where I've had to walk away to avoid things getting out of hand. The Everton lot, not so much, just a bit of banter and a laugh, but with Liverpool they just will not let things go.
Just my experience.

It's not right to tar all scousers with the same brush but it's hard not to !

The thing is the press/media are shoving the dippers down our throats 24/7, its causing problems not just with City fans but all fans now.
Football fans have had enough of their behaviour, booing our National Anthem, liz is in her box etc. Nothing is said by the press/media.

Where most football fans surprised by the trouble at the CL final ? No. But yet again some how they werent to blame

So sadly all scousers tend to be seen as wankers. It's wrong but its human nature. I only have to hear the horrible squeaky accent and my guard is up.
