It is clear Liverpool have made the classic mistake of not strengthening their squad when they are at the top. It is strange they have allowed things to drift while other clubs have made good signings, some at bargain prices. The unexplained departure of their head of recruitment (Michael Edwards the City data hacker) must have something to do with it. The media should be asking questions about this instead of regurgitating garbage from the burned-out rent-a-quote Didi Hamann.
