It’s just ridiculous isn’t it?

‘ALWAYS THE VICTIMS’ HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HILLSBOROUGH, YOU LYING CUNTS!

I see on social media Liverpool fans claiming the use of "always" in the song implies fans are inappropriaty singing about Hillsborough; whilst failing to understand that fans are criticising their perception that they are always the victims. Clearly they were the victims of an horrendous police/Thatcher Hillsborough cover up, but there are many examples of their fans causing issues which they have failed to take responsibility for. The song therefore perfectly highlights this hypocrisy, without denigrating Hillsborough or denying that on that occasion they were blameless and victims of one of the worse cover ups in football history.

Heysel
Athens
Istanbul
Paris

Never happened...

Not one of them was/is a Liverpool fan.

John and George weren’t football fans, Paul is an Everton fan but not much of one and the only one interested in footy is Ringo and he’s an Arsenal fan.
Can't be true, they wrote one of their most famous songs for Liverpool.

The words ‘always’ and ‘never’ imply a plural.

If it was about Hillsborough the words to the chant would be, ‘you weren’t the victims, it was your fault’.

But they aren’t the words. The words imply that it’s about the continual and never ending misdemeanours that fanbase and cult do and never take any responsibility or show any remorse or ever apologise for.

Hillsborough doesn’t even enter the equation.

They fucking know this fine well, though. They’re just being cunts.

The Dippers are done and it wouldnt surprise me if Clubshop empties the LFC superstore before he buggers off back to Germany , look on the brightside Brendan has just got the sack and he could oversee at least another decade of under achievement at Klanfield.
A Bodger & slippy combo would be a brilliant bit of fun next season for us.
