If City were to dominate the P/L for the foreseeable, where would be the satisfaction in that?
We need close competition.
That's what makes the league what it is.
The dippers finished close to City last season points wise, (only 1 less than us),, but closer than they should have.
Klopp is a decent manager. Pep respects him. I think Klopp has got a group there who will run through brick walls for him. He inspires them, makes them believe that they are world beaters, but for all his best efforts, the dippers aren't even close to us. That 1 point gap could easily have been 10 or even more points.
For many years I watched City.
I watched us when we were in the third tier, when we won promotion and the rags won the treble. I clung on to any small victory that I could during those days and it was impossible to comprehend 'ickle City ever getting a seat at the top table back then.
Well, here we are today, sitting at the head of that table and looking like we will be there for many years to come.
I relish the competition, from whichever team provides it.
For what it's worth I think that Spuds are a dark horse and the rags will probably finish in the bottom half.
As for the dippers?
They may hold on to 2nd, but it is by no means nailed on...

I could handle 20 years of winning the league by 1 point, along with the CL every other year and all 7 every four years

We have just had a dipper join at work. HR send out emails giving a few details about new starter's likes and interests. Normally these are fairly balanced but this new bloke's is just about how he follows "The Mighty Reds" in Europe - no mention of family or anything else.
Something tells me we might not get on!
Maybe he's a Welsh fan in the 6 Nations :-)
Okay no, hit the bugger !

If this happens, their mental gymnastics will be tantalisingly close to the ultimate stage of such logic:
"Why a butterfly flaping its wings in the Pacific is good for Liverpool FC".
i think what is comes down to is "why everything is actually about us" by Liverpool FC, aged 5 1/2

What an absolute whitewash the report into the mess at the Champions League final in Paris is.

A complete waste of time and an utter disgrace.
Just listened to a report on BBC Outside Source, the anchor sets the scene as Liverpool fans exonerated from Champions league fiasco and passes over to the reporter in Paris who says whilst the independent panel made up of Government opposition have concluded that the policing was poorly organised and the response was overly harsh, it was however the amount of forged paper tickets Liverpool fans had that caused the pinch points.
As we all suspected bin-dippers with snide tickets and French organisation - the perfect storm
Don’t suppose that reporter will work for the beeb again though.

Don't know why? We all know it's never their fault, and we all now know there will be a justice for the Paris Pussies campaign, the slogan should be no fan should ever go to a football game with a fake ticket, and not get in

Just go and watch the highlights and see the Liverpool fans standing on the stair wells ? So they are buying tickets to stand on the stairs now
