To me, they were in a no win situation yesterday, the ones that boo'd and jeered are disrespectful motherfuckers, and the ones that stayed silent are hypocritical cunts, each deserving of more hatred that I thought wasn't possible.

They’re like United fans where they’re from small towns and places without a big football team… Warrington you can excuse as it is close to Liverpool, Lancaster has a lot of Liverpool fans n’all… but it’s when it places like Bristol and Brighton have massive Liverpool followings - and London - what the fuck for?

Are the people of Bristol, Brighton and London so ashamed of their towns that they can’t stomach supporting the team that represents them as a town (or their closest Cockney team)? Even if there was no Bristol City or Rovers, why Liverpool? But there are City and Rovers so, really, why the fuck Liverpool!?

Good post. I live in Hull for my sins and United and Liverpool "fans" are everywhere. They never go to watch them apart from legends matches or friendlies but all claim to be top supporters.

I never stop thinking "If you all went to watch Hull City instead, they'd have a phenomenal support."

It makes me piss when I see a car with a Hull KR or Hull FC sticker in one side of the back window and a Liverpool or United sticker on the other. "Aah, so your town's rugby team is good enough for you but you need reflective glory from a football team you have zero connection with?"
