I don't know where we are with that, in all honesty. Is there somewhere I can read up on this "new owner" rule?
It will either be in the ffp regs or it may be UEFA fix, in which case you would have to search press articles about the Milan clubs.
Possibly the new sustainability regs supercede the rule.

Thanks, it's not easy to find anything specific. Had a quick look through the UEFA regs, but I didn't find anything, possibly because they are completely unfathomable. To me, at least ....

I agree. The one place you won’t find financial regs is in their massive sustainability document.

UEFA have already solved that with the new owner rule under which a new owner can spend virtually what he likes provided the business plan shows a return to profitability within 3 years. They introduced this to ease the takeovers of both Milan clubs. Had the rule been in existence in 2014, we would not have been in breach of ffp.
Milan clubs were, of course, members of G14.
I wonder why they changed the rule.

Thanks KS55. Do you know what action is meant to happen if the clubs didn't return to profitability?
I guess that what happens depends on the club that is in breach!

So has Jude signed yet? you know for the best moral club or has everyone decided to stop inhaling candle fumes and wake up to the fact that their club is not buying but is actually being flogged to the dirty venture capitalists?

No more player recruitment hacking and look what’s happened. If they don’t make some good buys this time around. Well it will be back down to 5th. Or maybe just bid for any player that MCFC has identified. It’s called the United way, worked well for those tramps so just maybe you have a chance once again to challenge for the prestige league cup or maybe a europa league.

Now back to crying about oil and European ticket touts.

The clubs had to submit a plan. One assumes that failure to adhere to it would be a breach, but this is UEFA.
As I mentioned in a previous post, the new sustainability provisions may have made this rule redundant, but it is clear as mud.

Bellingham has signed a pre contract with them according to the dippers in work
He’d be mad to go there. Who will the owners be? What will be their policies?
I get the impression that his family have a big say in where he goes and there are hints that they are more interested in the money than in football considerations.

Liverpool and United are not attractive prospects to the Oil rich Sheik's!

Abu Dhabi, bought us (little old City at the time) for the same reason Saudi Arabia bought Newcastle! to raise their profile! if an Arab state buys united or the dippers and wins the league, it means nothing.

When an Arab owned City won the league in 2012, it sent sock waves round the world! just as the Saudis will do with Newcastle

The Liverpool Thought Bank is a guilty pleasure of mine to look down the rabbit hole of the indoctrinated weirdos who support that shit stain of a club. Question that needs asking is why would Jude Bellingham make his next move to a club that is second best to City? Has a playing squad that is in need of an overhaul and the owners want out because they don’t want to pay for it? Add to that no one knows who Liverpools new potential owners are, they could be the second coming of Peter Swales.

Should Jude choose football or money? Why can’t he be greedy and have both because City will pay him a lot more than Liverpool will and surround him with talented players such as his mate Erling or Kevin De Bruyne who he gets to form a two pronged creative midfield with. What does he get at Liverpool? James Milner who runs around a bit and kicks people or Thiago who is constantly feeling the back of his legs for his next injury. Or Fabinho who their fans were digging out due to how shit he was playing.

They make it sound like Liverpool players play for free, I don’t think Salah does and he made sure he shafted as much money as possible out of them for his new contract. So come on Mr Bellingham what will it be, go to a club that’s in a scrap for qualifying for the champions league and has a fan base that will turn on you if you ever decide to go and play somewhere else?

but remember, It means more for at Liverpool, and Klopp wears a tracksuit and knows all the words to YNWA!

Meanwhile Pep boils piss and wins leagues
