I thought his 2nd goal against Burnley was beautifully struck. Just 2 league games ago. Still, if he keeps dreaming maybe he can be as good as Nunez.
One day he’ll be able to match Darwin’s brilliance, we just have to keep backing him.

Stuffy scouse rats.

Newcastle in that 'nearly there' situation. Playing teams that have been above them but game know how and final decision making costing the win

The vermin would have been beaten otherwise

Should be more than a 1 match ban for the reaction. But there again we all know the red card will probably be rescinded upon appeal.
Not a chance.

Van Dijkhead clearly tripped Isak, when the latter would have been through on goal.

You will never see a clearer DOGSO.

Newcastle lost a game they shouldn’t even have drawn.
Liverpool May get giddy but they should have been about three behind before Newcastle gifted them.
Two good finishes by Nunes but total lack of game experience from the Toons.

We were playing at home, against a pretty average team and we weren't losing.

This is a completely different scenario.

Liverpool were 1-0 down, with 10 men at a very, very intimidating ground.

I'm not saying they are anywhere near City by the way because they aren't, but the way they play they are more built to come back in a game like this than we are.

You’re an idiot.

I'm just telling it how I see it.

City are clearly a better team than Liverpool, we've proved that... But we are a VERY systematic team.

Each player sticks to their zones, they don't over commit when they need to.

Liverpool are tactically a lot more loose than us so in instances like this they will probably take more risks.

Pep is all about sticking to the system and keeping our shape. Players can't venture outside of their zones on the football field. Stick to your allocated boxes.

This is the reason City are more successful and other teams aren't, because we have the best coach in world football...

But when it comes to being a man down and a goal down, risks need to be taken..

Liverpool are more prone to taking a risk than we are.
Everything about this post is so wrong that Gary Neville is enthusiastically taking credit for saying it first (when he was managing Valencia).

You have definitively stated that the group of players who have shown the mental resolve to win title after title; get 100 points in a season; win the last 14 games in a season to win the league; win over twenty games on the spin, come from 2-0 behind in a few short minutes to win the league on the final day of the season, chase Arsenal down until they broke on the way to winning a fucking treble, don’t have the mental strength and flexibility to come from one goal down with ten men against Newcastle.

What do they need to do to prove themselves worthy in your eyes?

Some of our supporters simply don’t deserve this team, they really don’t.

When have I said this group of players don't have the mental strength and resolve?

You are just making things up now, Gordon.

We have proved time and time again we can come back in games and we have shown time and time again when our backs are against the wall we step up to the occasion.

I have never once criticised our mental resolve or resilience as a team.

I think you are clearly misunderstanding the point I'm making here. As I've said... The reason I don't think we come back from 10 men down is down to the system itself... Not the players.

We are such a well oiled machine and we have such a good structure that if we were 1-0 down, we would just keep our shape and remain disciplined whereas Liverpool would leave the back door wide open hoping for a counter attack. They either get beat 3 or 4-0 today or win 2-1.

I've said in my previous comments liverpool are more off the cuff. They are nowhere near as disciplined as us so they are more prone to throwing the kitchen sink at it because they are a bit more chaotic than we are from a tactical point of view.

More often than not, we don't find ourselves in this position whereas Liverpool will find themselves having to claw back in games to get a victory because they are nowhere near as solid as a unit as we are. I'd much rather be us every single day of the week.

You watch when we played Fulham at home when it was 1-1 and we had 10 men. The whole team was so well structured and in position to stop a counter attack, we barely give them an opportunity in that game with 10 men. If that's Liverpool v Fulham with 10 men that Sam's say, they concede far more opportunities than we do because it becomes more of a basketball match.

Liverpool today left themselves completely exposed at the back because they play a different way. Luckily for them they nicked two goals on the counter. City aren't a counter attacking team, we like to have control at all times. We just play a different way to them and I think the way they play they are more prone to either getting battered or winning this way. It's a flip of a coin.

People get so defensive on here and think I'm slagging off the mentality and the resolve of the team. Far from it.
