You can bring those players back in and you might improve yes but the facts are that without Rodri you are far easier to be got at and other teams will fancy themselves to win the midfield battle.

The losses started once we had no back up for Rodri, & no defenders or wingers.

We won when had Kovacic, a fit defence & 2 wingers.

So it’s not the players availability but the players who can play that position.

vvd and salah are there Rodri at moment they look imperious score goals keep clean sheets! First half it was more control don't over commit second half it was full on attack with pace in Madrid's last 1/3 few then players have won it all so unless they get injuries to Salah and VVD at the moment can't see anyone stopping them! We will see though..

They’re not even 75% prime City, and it takes 99% prime City to deliver a treble.

I watched them last night they have a shit load of energy and seem to be cruising, they don’t even have to play their next 3 CL games they’ve qualified so can rest players. They rarely seem to get injuries to their main players VVD and Salah and for some reason they are all playing above themselves. Madrid were wank last night Liverpool didn’t get out of second gear, the irony is it’s Klopp team so will Slott get all the credit?

I always thought with Pellegrini that he benefited from some 'muscle memory' after Mancini. That, together with his more chilled approach, ensured we won that double. Once the muscle memory wore off though, we went backwards.
