So I drop in here when we win so only right I drop in when we lose!
Got what we deserved today for fielding that weakened team. Whether it was disrespectful to PA or not, I'm not sure they care as it just gave them more chance to continue. Poor team performance for us but PA were excellent and fully deserved the result.
A case of Slot thinking he could ease through, perhaps believing all the media hype this season, but focussing more on the derby on Wednesday.
Fail to win that and there could be a few doubts starting to creep in.

It's something Klopp used to do all the time. Try and go out of the cups early, because he knew the squad couldn't compete if they had to play as many games as City. One pretty revealing stat is that Mo Salah, 237 goals for Liverpool in all competitions, but just 10 in the cups over 8 seasons. He rarely plays more than 3 cup games in a season. Compare that to Rodri, and there's only one season (before this) where he played less than 7, while also playing every CL game.

You need to win the Derby or arsenal will get their tails up. Derbies are funny things, and you lot are as bad as arsenal at bottling things from a winning position. Should be better in this respect with slot as he's not as giddy and emotionally incontinent as klopp (or arteta).

Arne fell into the trap that a lot of managers have over the last few years. "It is only a struggling team, we will win easily even with our reserves". Many times they come away with egg on their face.

Pep, on the other hand always respects the opposition regardless of their league or situation. He picks a balanced side with only two or three "kids". There are always senior players on the bench in case they need to rescue a dodgy situation. And he also recognises the fans of the lesser clubs - they pay money to see "stars" not kids.

Yep, I think a general rule in football is that players who play together every week will beat players who don't, even if the other team has better quality players. Not always, obviously, but you're giving them a huge chance every time you play an entirely second string team.

If Everton can keep up their recent run of form this week, I can see this lot getting the wobbles. Potential for plenty of dropped points in their run in. The game against Arsenal on May 10th could be huge (in the unlikely event the Tarquins haven't already shit their pants by then).
