Agree with most of that but not the reference to the last derby match. United were shite in that match but we gifted them two goals in the last three minutes. City didn't play great but were still better than the worst United team I have seen since their relegation season. I thought Liverpool bottled it yesterday. They played with fear and that doesn't bode well for the run-in, even with their points cushion.Obviously disappointed by yesterdays results.....first of all with Ipswich not holding on. Bringing them that little bit closer to the rags and putting that little bit more doubt in their minds that, maybe their aren't 3 worse teams than them in the league. persoanlly I cannot see them as genuine relegation candidates.
Whilst the Liverpool performance was abject at times, that performance by the rags was almost reminiscent of the sort of thing we did in our 30years of mediocrity. A case of only raising a perfomrance against the "top teams". they did it against you lot and then again yesterday. I can only hope that they revert to their last few games now and continue labouring away in the bottom half of the table.
I can only hope that yesterday was a wake up call to the squad. Don't believe all the hype and bullshit. We are in january and another few performances like that and Arsenal/Chelsea will be back on level terms and City will be within a point...we could see that by the end of the month! I had hoped that we wouldnt lose from being complacent and I suppose I should therefore be reasonably happy that wasnt the case and that so many of the team just had off days.
I watched previous games of the rags where Dalot looked a complete liability and yet yesterday he looked a world beater...but then Trent really did have a bad day. I can only be thankful that Bradley is a pretty good replacement if and when TAA does disappear off to Madrid. I can only say good uck to him but please make a decision quickly to put us all out of our misery and prevent the hacks in the media from spinning it out any longer.
