Liverpool Thread | 2024/25

Hard to deny they're looking a real force at the moment. They've bought very well in recent years. They knew what needed strengthening and did it. I think that's the main reason they look really good now and we've let some players get too far into a decline.

Anfield is buzzing, we all know it's historic and incredible atmosphere under the Anfield lights and they'll be right up for our visit, especially given the fact we're struggling. Their fans get behind every tackle and can get their team going in that atmosphere.

Still, they've been good from runners but I'm sure there will be a dip in form and we'll see how they handle that.

They're at it again

“Recent trips to Liverpool have seen off-field issues overshadow the football, including incidents involving City's team bus arriving and leaving Anfield. City fans have also been reported for poor behaviour in the away end, while clashes at the Etihad have also seen unsavoury incidents between the fanbases”

Hold fucking on - don’t make it as were as bad as each other you C*NTS!

They have smashed our coach up, boo’d while Ederson was on the floor with his head cut open and boo’d him getting stretchered off and they have thrown a cup full of coins at a young girl splitting her head open.
Thats just 3 off the top of my head.

We have sung hurty words

MUEN at it again!

Since Klopp and Pep have both been in England across all competitions they have faced off 22 times with Liverpool winning 8 to Citys 6. The rest have ended in draws with the exception of a City penalty shoot out win in the community shield. You can claim that if you want?

So what does this tell us? That between the two teams head to head there was nothing in it.

Each match up was basically a toss of the coin as to who would win and most times it ended in a draw anyway. You try make as many excuses as you want but Liverpool were a fantastic side and pushed another fantastic side beyond its limits.

Except Liverpool could be playing against City at their peak and score 3 goals in quick succession and effectively finish the contest. No other team was doing that. Pep himself said that Liverpools attack terrified him.

Interesting that you didn't contest the overall point of Klopp copying Guardiola's blueprint.

Your silence on it speaks volumes.

Your point on a 'terrifying attack' is fine, but it won you the league how many times in the Guardiola-Klopp era??

Go on, I'll wait...

He's just making excuses why Klopp doesn't deserve the plaudits as much as they think he does, Leicester wining the league was a bigger achievement and they know it.
