Exactly what I’ve just been saying. Not easy winning multiple pots, multiple times. We might be struggling ATM but nobody should ever forget or diminish just what Pep has done at City. He is the GOAT, simple.

I think winning the league last season is one of our best achievements. That was a grind based on pure will power and quality players powering through it but we were pretty much spent.

Of course this year is frustrating but when things improve again, we'll look back and see this struggle was inevitable.

Liverpool looked fucked yesterday and the season hasn't even finished, 2 months to go. Our older players have gone multiple seasons of playing nearly the maximum games possible whilst under pressure because they're playing to win trophies.

Achieving what they have is absolutely phenomenal and nearly impossible, as the dippers have found out again.

And yet again the media go over the top about them when in reality they aint that good a fully fit City side and an Arsenal team seen over the last few seasons would be above them by now.
Still putting a poor team out against Plymouth helped them out didnt it :)

See how he copes next season when other team will not be off the pace and he has to deal with no Van Dik or Salah or even if they do stay then i doubt they will have the season they have had

This is a fact that is being overlooked far too much. Our previous 4 seasons are pretty much unparalleled and it’s the sort of run that probably won’t happen again EVER! This needs to be in more conversations when discussing our drop off this year. It should not be surprising. It’s inevitable. I think the fact we have the club World Cup this summer is a real issue too that could compound what we are going through.

Never moved from the touchline, never even tried to get involved.
Wio giving Ghost Salah, the kiss of death about him winning the next Ballon d'Or.

It's all smoke and mirrors. Pgmol's version of sleight of hand. Look back at just a few of the utterly ludicrous decisions they have benefitted from since the Coote affair, farcical. The moment all that came to light I knew immediately it was pointless anyone else fighting for the Prem this year. Of course our own lamentable season has also been a factor in them walking away with it, but with the officials too scared to go against them it has been a walk in the park for them.
Slot inherited Bingo's team: Salah has had the season of his career, and to my utter amazement Vain Dick has actually put in a shift now and again. Remove them two and they are a very mediocre side. Which is why I have said repeatedly give Slot two or three years to prove himself first before launching every single accolade there is at him for winning the Prem in his debut season.

Liverpool usually run out of steam around this time with or without peds. Covid gave them a 3 month rest and they were still poor after the restart.

Be interesting to see how good Slot is, he has had it piss easy so far. No pressure, than within a few days he has gone from the quad, treble, double to one !
Be interesting if they lead reduces or not, but that be more down to no challengers.

They ran out of steam at the start of February and have done incredible well injury wise all season.

The warning signs were there when Wolves managed 16 shots on goal at Anfield.

Some tough away games coming up for them with Brighton, Fulham and Chelsea on the horizon as well.

I still think they will win the league but I do think the difference between them and second will be down to around 5 points by the end of the season.

If Salah and Trent leave in the summer they have some rebuild on their hands..bigger than ours.
Yes, Trent, VVD and Salah will be gone, not to mention Konate & Diaz on particularly low wages compared to the rest of their Squad, could well seek pastures new.

Their drop off could be bigger than ours has been.

Yeah, I can't see them blowing the league from here. Even if Arsenal win at Anfield, they've got to gain another 9 points on them from the other 8 matches

No chance of the bottlers catching the dippers, that's 100% gone. But a few dropped points from now to the last handful of games will see the nerves kicking in. Slot has never been in this position before in the Prem so it's all about how he handles the pressure.

I admire your tenacity to sticking to what is a well thought out assessment of the vermin and the PL.

But they have been the better team this year by virtue of the other runners and riders have been shit, feels like the scouse will benefit like Leicester did (They deserved to win it) but it wont happen next year because they are going to have one mother of a transition.

They looked flat out there, didn't they? I have to say that the international break saved them. If they had to play mid week, I think Everton would smash them.
Would have been nice. Hopefully we still can.

Was checking the odds before the game yesterday and they were giving odds of 60/1 Salah to get a shot on target for new customers, bet there's a few new customers thinking it's a mugs game after that performance.
