Not so sure he won't end up back on the wings, read that rodgers sees Emre Can as the new Gerrard

I've never known Milner to sulk or cause a fuss, but Liverpool and Rodgers have made promises. If they renege on them now, I wouldn't be at all surprised if Milner kicks off publicly.

Sterling again.

The revisionism from many of our fan is laughable. Dude is a stud. He's 20. 20! We've been riding him, plus last season he clearly checked out (poor of him) and was also played out of position. Plus at 20, you will go through growing pains. He's good--he has HUGE upside.

I guess let's settle for anything close to 40M, and build something that will make Firmino and Coutinho want to stay (come on transfer committee!!!!).

This is where you need a strong manager. When Tevez and Rooney threw tantrums, Mancini and Ferguson weren't having any of it. Granted I guess some say that's the point when United became "just another club" (lol) and many felt that it was weak from Mancini to play Tevez in the end--but you still won a title though....

Don't get Rodgers of all people (Can right-back, Sterling and Ibe and Markovic and Lallana wing-backs) promising Milner a central role. What if it doesn't work? Henderson is presumably guaranteed. Then there's Rodger's adopted son Allen, who is probably guaranteed a spot. So you'd rather the option of using Can or Lucas sometimes, with Milner in a more advanced role. Especially if Lallana doesn't kick on.

I will not be surprised if Milner is player to slot in as soon as they pick up a couple of injuries. And I know last season he didn't get plenty of oppurtunities to play in the centre but there was a period when Yaya was away and I think Fernandinho was injured and MP still didn't play him there. Sometimes your 'preferred' position doesn't always mean thats where you play your best football.

STERLING LATEST!
Sky sources understand that Raheem Sterling wants to leave Liverpool because he does not want to play for manager Brendan Rodgers.
The 20-year-old returned to training at Melwood yesterday where he attended a 25-minute meeting with the Reds boss.
t is understood Rodgers re-iterated his desire for the England international to stay at the club, claiming that if Sterling wanted more money, then he was confident that a deal could be reached between the player and the Liverpool hierarchy.
However, it is believed Sterling countered that by telling Rodgers that his concerns were not over money or the club itself, but rather that he did not want to play for the manager.

Fantastic man management.

8. “You train dogs, I like to educate players.”

Shouldn't have treated young Sterling like a dog then.

Wasn't Sterling the one who got a proper bollocking off Rodgers in that documentary they did, threatening to send him back on the next plane?
