Well walked into work today (in Liverpool) knowing that we had signed Sterling. I being the lovely mild mannered City fan that I am, did not utter one word regarding football matters....... well with the morning briefing included, it took 20mins for the first remark from a Liverpool loving work colleague to bear its jealous head - "fucking sterling, you can keep the ****......fucking 200k a week he's on" was the phrase as she left the room.

Not one single reply came from my smiling face.......

The next one took about 10 minutes after that "have you bought your sterling shirt yet, Every Liverpool fan I have bumped into... not one has said we will miss him. Saw a couple of pictures doing the rounds last night with sterling holding a west ham top in four years time hahahahaaaa"

Again just a nice smile and a nod of the head from me......I would not even waste any words, and before any fellow blues say you should have given them some back, the answer to that is that I didn't need too... the reason being that deep down the Liverpool fans are hurting and smarting that a player they lauded not too long ago wanted to leave to win silverware and become a better player........

Thank you City my much loved club

I was at a course in Warrington today and a work colleague of mine mentioned the 49m blah blah. This guy opposite just piped up you a city fan mate, well you can keep that ungrateful b**tard he is the worst player I have seen in a Liverpool jersey for some time and then started raving about Milner. I have had her side of the family who are Liverpool fans say the same thing and some other Liverpool fans at work. They are hurting so bad its just best to relax and smile and reel the b**stards in.
