So, right now, LFC have got 35m in the bank for Sterling.
They're likely to sign Benteke for around 30m and pay him 100-150k a week.
Let's take the middleground of 125k, 25k less than Milner and Henderson, that's 6.5m a year.
Sterling was on 35k a week, 1.85m a year.
That's around 5m more a year for Benteke. Plus the 30m = 35m

Would a single LFC fan have done a straight swap with Villa, Sterling for Benteke (or even Sterling for Benteke + 4m (for the potential add ons))?

If they sign Benteke I think they'd have to return the Transfer League title they're all currently celebrating (bit like the 13/14 PL title \o/ ).

Wouldn't swap sterling for benteke but might be on my own but think benteke is a good player and would do alright there

He's decent, yea, in there with Bony and Lukaku in the B grade striker department, but LFC would laugh their tits off if Villa offered them him for Sterling
