I didn't think it possible but I honestly think that Liverool fans are more insufferable, arrogant, entitled, and deluded than the rags.
What a horrible, horrible club.

Hartson and Lawrensen saying on MOTD it's a penalty and not even debatable. Bollocks. Contact doesn't equate to a penalty nor does it mean it's not a dive. That was as much of a dive as Mirallas' when he was booked for it against West Ham. if it Genuinely was enough to make him trip he wouldn't fall down like that

Whilst it may have been a dive it's still certainly a penalty in my book

Palace defender made contact and was miles away from the ball!

I really can't see how the officials can be blamed for this ... The speed of which Benteke is running and the palace defender going in (pulling out way to late) ... All happend in a split second.

The fact it's debatable shows that the officials were not completely in the wrong, and to me, made a brilliant decision. It was a very late, rash decision from the place defender, he caught him at full speed - it may or may not have felled Benteke ,we will never know.

Why do you want to bring up Heysel? is it because you care about 39 people being killed, or is it point-scoring and wanting to call me a murderer? Heysel was too important for trivial point-scoring!!
My post was about football, The League Cup, the Europa League. I said nothing provocative, yet the debate goes onto Heysel!!!

You've simply confirmed the stereotype.

There was no love lost between Liverpool and Manchester in the 1980's, but United hardly challenged Liverpool and had been poor throughout the 1970s also. It was the scottish manager with a speech impediment who came out with Liverpool are our rivals not City, before that League Cup game, probably as Liverpool didn't hammer them 5-1, however united coming 13th to Liverpool's 1st the season before meant he should have been ridiculed, however the plastics up and down the country and the media lapped it up. City finished 5th United 6th and Liverpool 2nd that season.

Very true - there is an historic animosity between Manchester and Liverpool - the cities, not specific football clubs.
In fact, my old manager was a Rag, but a match going one in the 1970's/80's and he always said going to Goodison was worse than Anfield. United fans always seem to have a chip on their shoulder though about how successful Liverpool were – on their part the rivalry is one based on jealousy, nothing to do with city rivalries... now the boot's on the other foot.

Just seen the Benteke dive....

Fuck me they get some soft decisions.

You only had to listen to Benteke's response to the after match commentators question "was it a penalty?" He replied almost embarrassed "well I think there was contact"
Never a penalty in my book and you have to ask the question, if that was us, would we have got the same decision?

And it will continue, not just for the Dippers, but for any club whose players have no morals and blatantly cheat in order to 'gain advantage' and are then excused by television pundits and are not retrospectively punished by the footballing authorities - its a farce and makes a mockery of the game.

This is not bleating, just the absolute truth but had that been Sterling yesterday, it would never have been given, would probably have landed him a booking, would no doubt have been dismissed as a dive by all the media and even on here he would have got pelters.

Any one else and its clever play.
