We have the most expensive defence in world football yet still cannot defend under the slightest pressure.

We knew they'd come hard at us for the first quarter. All we had to do was keep it simple & take the sting out of the game. It's not Pep's nature to sit back but if you want success in the CL you have to be pragmatic. He's making the same mistakes with us as he did at Bayern.

I sort of agree but we're shite at defending so not sure it would work. In fact we spent the first 45 defending and it didn't work.

For the first goal, Salah started his run from the half way line. I don't call that defending when our CB is in half way line.

Milner Oxhead chamber pot and Henderson dominated our midfield in the 1st half...let that sink in for a bit.
