Liverpool v City 1st leg CL Qtr Final post match

It was confirmed as onside in the TSN stream sometime in the 2nd half. The question should be why was Salah not doubled up and left to run free from the halfway line.

It’s fucking off, he’s inside out half and Walker is stood on the half way line, it couldn’t have been easier for the linesman to see it as the line did his fucking job.

If they score ONE next Tuesday, we need FIVE.

Be honest with yourselves and realize that has very very short odds of happening.

We have too little strength against strong, in your face, teams, and the creative talent to beat 99% of teams. Liverpool attacked our weaknesses and we were unable to attack in the first half, because we had only one outlet, which was quickly double teamed.

Live and learn.
Oh well i’ll just iron me knickers next Wednesday then.

I didn't understand why we started Gundogan, but even so why were we overwhelmed again in the 1st half? They just gave it everything and we did not have enough to beat them.

Gutted. This defeat has soured the season. I doubt these players will get a chance like that again.

Liverpool were superb. Give them credit.

I think Guardiola bottled it a bit by dropping Sterling and putting Gundogan in. If he was planning on countering Liverpool's midfield, then should have used Delph.

We've got even more reason to play an under strength team on Saturday now. All is not lost yet.
Totally disagree!

Give up on the return leg because it is gone. Get the title done and restore some confidence and pride. And THEN go into the return leg and see what we can do.

Focus on the return leg and we'll lose our next two games.

Absolutely embarrassing. Not even a shot on target. Just goes to show that we aren't as good as some people think.

The minute I saw KDB quoted in the paper saying player of the year was betwee him and Salah and this tie would show who deserved it I thought that was not a good thinking process.

He will need the game of his life on Tuesday then as he had one of his worst tonight - though far from alone.

Normally we would bounce back with a vengeance but I worry he will chase this tie and ignore Saturday.

We should not. Our best chance on Tuesday is to prove we are winners Saturday and take that feeling into Tuesday.

Mess up Saturday and we will probably go out Tuesday anyway barring an amazing turnaround.

Then we are going to Wembley under pressure and probably still needing another 6 points.

This has to change his thinking for Saturday. Full strength there essential now.

Fully agree. Need to win on Saturday to get over this disappointment. We have maybe a 10% chance of going through and it's not worth to go for it when we can have a unique moment if we win against United.
