Liverpool v City - post match thread

Retrospectively, in terms of the top 4, not a lot has changed given that Arsenal and Spurs both lost. Leicster are a point better off.

What has happened though, is the teams below, or the top 6, has tightened up massively.

It's a case now of looking forwards and backwards. Such is the camacarzy nature of the league so far.

My biggest issue is of the top 6, our form is by far and away the worst.

If your a betting man, and the bet is who will drop out of the top 4, then you'd be a fool not to say city.

We need a run, a proper run, and it needs to start on Saturday.

The good news is that De Bruyne is now our stand out midfielder. We've relied on Yaya and Silva for so long but we finally have a midfielder who is fit to carry us forward. Shame he is injured because we fucking need him now

He carried us to 4-1 defeats at the Etihad and WHL. He hasn't turned up in a big yet.

Other than the obvious ones, the problem isn't the players, it's the 'manager'

Is it true that pellegrini said he wasn't expecting them to be high pressing,if that's what he said then he's either stupid or dementia has set in shocking from him...

Erm what midfielders? Only one's left are kids and they would have been overrun by Liverpool's high pressing and closing down.

At least have one midfielder on the bench - youngster among Fernando and fernandinho might have least give us some enery and enthusiasm. The youngsters at the Rags are getting them better results than the senior players, bet no-one thought Ally was going to have a great season. There is a difference throwing one young player in than doing what we did at the Chavs.

Credit to the dippers they well and truly gave us a bumming. Without yaya we have no link to aguero and that resulted in countless long balls being pumped forward for their pairing of Maldini and Nesta to deal with comfortably. Every time we got the ball they would surround our players and we'd show no fight or passion and tamely give it back to them.

In contrast, whenever James Neymar and Adam Messi received the ball they had all the time in the world to take the piss out of our non existent midfield and defence. Shocking and a defeat that sums up what city have become under this shite manager.

No they're not!

Look, we have a reasonably straight forward run in with the most winnable games. The major challenge will be Chelsea away, the rest we can do. Remember 2012? I know this is different, but no one is consistent this season. We have no FA cup to worry about, I reckon we will lose only one, draw one and win the rest to the end of the season. Like I say remember 2012 and how strongly we finish seasons these days!
,
Joe are really suggesting we can win the title.......We are shite at present all over the place....thank fuck Sturridge didn't play
