I'd agree they aren't overly paid.OK , I’m a self employed glazing contractor who probably earns £75 k .
My mate is a flooring contractor who earns over £100 k . I know joiners who earn 2500 a week .
I can’t speak for folk in the public sector as I’ve no idea what they are earning . All I know is that a person isn’t enticed to be an MP by the salary alone .
My point stands . Give them a competitive salary but no other jobs , At least then , you’ll get total commitment to their supposed role .
If they had a higher salary along with a better selection process we would get a much higher calibre.
Imagine how much better the MPs would be if they were former hospital leaders, ex headteachers, ex police bosses, retired business owners etc.
Any of you cunts who were happy to reap the rewards of our pitifully ineffectual legal system that delivered Liz Trust to be our nation’s leader can go fuck your mum’s cunts.
