Liz Truss

The fact that anyone, let alone a substantial minority, thinks that Liz Truss is fit to be PM says it all.

I don't even think it's tribalism. I mean, I support City, but I still think Lee Bradbury was a shit footballer.

Bradbury was the first City player I ever saw score a goal (v Chesterield in 1998).

If I’d have stopped watching after that game then I’d probably have thought he was our greatest ever striker.

Maybe this is demonstrative of the selective attention spans of Tory MPs?

Badbuy scored a cracker for Portsmouth against us ....the ****

LOL. We're of a similar vintage Ian. Compare this incompetent, economically illiterate, self-serving bunch of cliché-spouting mediocrities with the Conservative political giants of the recent past - Thatcher, Whitelaw, Howe, Lawson, Heseltine, Carrington, Brittan, Lord Hailsham, etc.

How can any genuine Conservative not be ashamed of how their party is today? They make the equally mediocre opposition look like political giants.
Frankly Colin I agree, unless there’s a rapid change I will note vote for them next time. Sadly there is no credible alternative!

Lol. As many have said, Labour have taken over the centre so if you were there before, the credible alternative is exactly that.

Ah well, it must be a case of ‘They’re all the same, how could one middle class vote for anything other than the Tories?’.

It‘s horseshit and there definitely doesn’t need to be this sentiment. This is not the Conservative party that anybody knows and needs to be ousted at the earliest opportunity.

She’s almost certainly clinically insane.

That someone so lacking in intellect, self-awareness and judgement made it to that Office of State shows how far we have fallen as a nation.
I’d like to think that if she was the Tory nominee in the general election, rather than being ushered in by a small group of tories, that we wouldn’t have elected her.

I’m not as down on this country as a lot on here seem to be, and I’m giving us the intellectual credit that she wouldn’t have been elected.
