I'm not so sure. The voters liked Johnson because he was funny. If she thought gobbling Johnson’s balls for a large portion of her speech was going to win over the British public she is even more useless than we all thought.
Yep.Not really. Starmer will ask questions and she'll talk about something else. It's the Tory way.
Yeah though this is more stand and deliver your money and your life.Well, it was successful for Adam and the ants.
Absolutely right, they cannot halt the pace of change so they demonise and exploit it instead. One problem is the increasing pace of change. The human brain is not really programmed to accept it, and so people grow increasingly discontent. They yearn for earlier, simpler times and convince themselves there are 1001 conspiracies against us.
Politicians, whoever they are, cannot halt the pace of change. They can barely slacken it. It's scary. But it's even scarier for those who wish it was 1960.
Give it a few days for the U turn on energy. So nothing specific about energy prices yet? I saw somewhere that she was considering a freeze on bills but that it might be more "targeted" than Labour's proposal which doesn't exactly fill me with confidence. Whatever she comes up with I'd have thought that it should've been the very first thing she should deal with, and while I accept that it takes a lot more than 5 minutes to come up with a solution, she should've surely done all the ground work by now and had an announcement ready to coincide with her being announced as PM.
Yeah, as someone else said hopefully she just steals Starmer's plan!Give it a few days for the U turn on energy.
She’s not going to formulate her own one!Yeah, as someone else said hopefully she just steals Starmer's plan!
She’s looking at tax cuts which will obviously benefit the poorest most. She's not arsed about poor people and think we don't work hard enough.
No way is she giving us any help. Get another job, buy a kettle, work more
Etc etc ..as she fills in her expenses claim
Showman?I'm not so sure. The voters liked Johnson because he was funny.
A sizeable number of the electorate are still in the "politics is boring" group and anything that taxes their grey matter is ignored. A showman like Johnson or Trump appeals to their ignorance.
