She has reasonable academic qualifications so she's not as dumb as Trump. But she seems totally incapable of understanding the utter stupidity of what her chancellor is doing. Or possibly does understand but doesn't care about the consequences.
She's similar to Trump in that she only cares about her own career, and would sell her relatives for a few votes.

I thought the anger was that the answers were all so cold and accounting-based, with not even a slight acceptance that this might affect/upset people.
I don't think Truss likes people, but sees them as gamepieces.

Just listening to her on LBC - guy from BBC Radio Lancashire asking her about fracking and she has no answers - she can't even fucking waffle - its just awkward noises that come out of her

She was so utterly under prepared. She speaks to the guy on radio lancashire and she isn't repared to answer questions on fracking. What the fuck does she think she will be asked? She couldn't even come up with an answer, christ even Boris would of bullshitted his way through it and all she could muster was an uncomfortable silence.

If that was the reason then it didn't work - as the interviews went out half of the ground the BoE promise made up yesterday was instantly lost so pensions will be back in the spotlight and the FTSE 100 fell 85 points - she will get slaughtered at the conference next week.

I agree but have a strong suspicion that their lack of ability has been harnessed (Trump style) by powers behind them who do have selfish policies.
No evidence just a feeling that UK MPs have had a similar career path ie local gov followed by MP and simply do not represent the people of the UK and there varied workplaces anymore.

she actually said nobody will pay more than £2500 on their energy bills next year - she thinks its a cap on the bill not a cap on the unit rate and the figure she is quoting therefore is the mythical "average user" cost. If she doesn't understand that - one of her own policies - how can markets think she understands all her other more difficult to understand policies !!??

I can switch my fire on, run my hot water and have the central heating on cranked to full all winter and my bill wont go up, wooooo hooooooooo.

We know that she is not liked or supported by the parliamentary party but seems to be adored by the membership in the country.
These two groups will come face-to-face at the conference.
How much stage management does it take to paper over the cracks.

Would normally be popcorn time but it's far too dark a time for that.

You'd think it wouldn't be difficult to commit to there being a public vote/review where opinions could be held, either by district or council, depending on the specific location. I can't see that they could avoid that, just as housing developments canvas opinions.
That there was nothing at all was quite awful.

I don't think we will have a tory gov for the next 2 years. If truss goes, and it's looking likely she can't survive, there will have to be a general election. Their legitimacy will be completely shot.
