No they won't. They can do whatever they like, another two years before they have to go to the polls. Install the 'dream team', Rishi and Penny and brass it out. Hope it comes good in two years. They don't give flying f..k about 'optics' at the moment.

If they do that, one would have to wonder about the future of party ‘democracy‘ in the U.K. Both main parliamentary parties seem to have become disconnected from their respective memberships in recent years. Perhaps not a discussion for now but one to ponder if they do oust Truss.

Who knows and interestingly the Torygraph had a article on there being a potential Michael Howard style coronation this morning with Maudent as PM and Sunak as her sidekick. Either way Truss is finished, even if she completely caves in and stumbles on her party is ungovernable. You will have Gove on side pulling the string Reese Mogg on the other pulling the other way and anyone who else who gets a band together.
 
Isn't the real problem that the public perception is that every single one of these fuckers are in it only for themselves.

The last weeks have seen campaigning for a new leader based on what is electable, for the good of the party, not for the good of the citizens of this country.

Our local MP, Robert Goodwill, who is famous for never ever doing anything remotely useful was given a knighthood, - God knows what for, mainly for not getting caught with his pants down , that seems a major plus these days.

When you read 'Private Eye and see how many of these c***ts are on backhanders and second incomes it really makes you puke - the days when local and national politicians stood for the benefit of others are long gone.

They're facing political annihilation if they go to the polls, they're in turkeys and Christmas country now.

I've always thought he was a ****, back when he was just a backbench MP calling for a Tory-UKIP pact pre 2015 election.

@Rascal do you still respect him as a conviction politician?

Exactly.

It would be like going all in on a new product launch without addressing a huge backlog of complaints of faulty goods.

Before they do anything they need a sustained period of repairing their brand until enough people have forgotten about that this deformed administration.
