We have nobody on the left wing really. Sell Sincalir and Garcia to free up places, Milner could always play through the centre which is by and large his best position.

Floating midfield is Milner's best position whether that is in the middle or out on the wing, he offers discipline (which is why Woy likes to use us for England) but is so much better when let off the leash.

Looks like a a good player to me and someone with alot of potential! Also a good player for now, anyone think we could turn him into the left winger that we need ?

I think that we could, offers amazing value for money and possible re-sale value in the future (not that we would need to sell.... hopefully).

They will sell- Italian clubs don't let valuable players leave on a free. If we want him, the only thing we have to do is put a convincing offer on the table and persuade the player we are the best move - we have two of his former team mates here, that might help. If we were to try and arrange a bosman next summer we would end up pissing Fiorentina off and cut off a valuable hunting ground for new signings.

I know it's not the best indicator, but I have just watched a few YouTube clips on him and I must say, he looks class.

Both him and Jovetic linked up really well.

He is only young, but we will have Dzeko, Nastasic, Jovetic and Kolarov to help him bed in who are from that part of the world.

Both Jovetić and Silva have played on the left of a 3 either in a 4231 or 433 many times for Fiore, and Valencia and Spain.

The shape if the attack will often look like this:
Navas---Jovetić---Silva

but can also look like these:
Milner---Silva---Nasri

Navas---Agüero---Silva

Plus just because you have a winger on one side doesn't mean you need one in the other. At Málaga Joaquin was an out-and-out winger but Isco wasn't at all on the other side, he'd play - like both Jovetić and Silva can - on the left or behind the striker. This was often the way Málaga played.
