Ljajic

Good player but he has his share of attitude problems

Apparently he sarcastically applauded dello rossi for taking him out after 30 minutes, and that provoked the manager

Has agreement with AC Milan according to Di Marzio

Yep, and Spurs are the English club who have made approaches for him, not City. Another tenuous rumour that our poor newspapers have run with for a while to make it seem like we really wanted him. Happens waaaay too much. Can't wait for the "Ljajic snubs City for Milan" tripe soon.

<a class="postlink" href="http://espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/1511999/fiorentina-reject-ac-milan-bid-adem-ljajic?cc=5901" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/15119 ... ic?cc=5901</a>

Fiorentina have turned down an approach from AC Milan for midfielder Adem Ljajic and indicated that he is close to committing himself to the club by signing a new deal.

Milan are reported to have offered €7 million for Ljajic – but that does not match Fiorentina's valuation of the 21-year-old Serbian.

"It's too little," Fiorentina president Andrea della Valle told Gazzetta dello Sport. "The player has expressed his willingness to stay. Let's just see what he's going to ask for in terms of wages.

"I spoke to him this morning and, I repeat, he has expressed his willingness to stay here, which is important. It's best for his future if he stays."

Should no agreement be reached with Ljajic, described as “lacking serenity” by coach Vincenzo Montella earlier this week, Milan may be invited to raise their bid for a player who is out of contract in 12 months and had previously indicated that he would like to move.

"Let it be clear - if he doesn't accept our offer, then he goes onto the transfer market," Della Valle added.

"We're not going to have the scenario we had with Riccardo Montolivo again, but Ljajic has got to understand that we've got to keep an even wage structure.

"Next week, there will be a meeting between my men and the player's entourage."

Montolivo made the move from Florence to Milan on a free transfer in 2012, a year after turning down a contract extension.

How much do we value Samir?

If Milan's bid of €8m has been rebuffed as reported in the Italian press, then we should be in for this guy and perhaps, as suggested previously in this thread on P2, we should explore a player exchange with the Viola. This player is worth a lot more than €8m, probably in the region of €13m -€18m and Milan's bid is probably going to be raised to around €10m + in the next 48 hrs.

Perhaps SN might fancy a crack at playing football in Italy alongside Mario.

Unless you posted the wrong clip, I'd say it's the manager that has the problems, he looks like a headcase.

The player did sarcastically applaud and give the thumbs up but that doesn't excuse what the manager did.

Seems the fiorentina board and the italian FA agreed as he was sacked from his job and banned for 3 months.
