Llandudno

The Llandudno Wetherspoons is the Palladium, an old cinema that goes back to the 1920s.
It is beautiful inside and one of the most splendidly ornate Wetherspoons interiors, redolent of cinematic days gone by. (On Gloddaeth Street, IIRC) And a decent eatery nearby called the Cottage Loaf, as mentioned above.
Of course, you may ant something more garish and hip.
And there's nowt wrong with sitting on a seat admiring the sweep of the bay, waiting to die or not.

Thinking of North Wales next weekend as a little break before starting my new job. There’s a match I might like to watch on the Saturday…

I’ve not been up there for years. Rhyl and Blaenau Ffestiniog were regular visits but I never did Llandudno. It looks quite touristy, which is fine, but any recommendations?

I’ll need a pub for the match and anything nice to go and see. Museums, a walk etc.

Diolch.
Dolgellau's got the lot. Busy, touristy little town in the summer. River, walks, hikes, beaches close by, shops, restaurants, a couple of very good boozers selling local beers, live music, the game will be on but you'll be well and truly outnumbered by most who don't know where Manchester is....
