Train from Chester just over an hour. I’d get there from Birkenhead Central ok.

Tend to use Chester for Hereford and South Wales.

Why would anyone want to go to Llandudno when you could go to Rhyl?

Don’t stay in The Grand Hotel at the end of the beach. Beautiful building nice view but it’s a bit of a shithole which hasn’t been updated in decades.

Worth a day in Conwy which is only ten minutes or so drive away, and there are some nice drives in the foothills of Snowdonia west of Llandudno. As already mentioned the Great Orme is a must, quite an easy climb from Happy Valley beyond the pier, or you can get the tramway up to the top. Worth a walk around too. If you are into ancient history the bronze age copper mine is well worth a visit, a short walk from the summit back into Llandudno. Look out for the goats, and say hi from us.
