Llandudno

If you like walking, from West Shore up and round the Great Orme is a lovely walk. You can also walk down the West Shore to Deganwy and on to Conwy.
A bit further afield one on my favourite places is Lake Crafnant.
Don’t worry about people sat on benches waiting to die, we’re all waiting to die. Some climb mountains and ride jet skis others sit on benches!

As a small boy, I went on a family holiday to Penmaenmawr where I discovered that bubble gum with football cards in the packet. The first one I got was Sam Bartram the venerable keeper of Charlton. How on earth do I remember that seventy years later?
Nice beach there. Not keen on Rhyl or Llandudno. Betws-y-Coed is good.

We’ve got a holiday let at the bottom of the Great Orme; I’ll happily do a deal for any fellow bluemooners. Having said that we’re pretty full til September now. Regarding pubs, The King’s Head always sounds lively when there’s a big match on; nice beer garden too. I’ll put the link to our flat on but please delete if it’s contravening any forum rules! https://www.airbnb.com/h/churchwalksllandudno

My son and his family live in Penmaenmawr not far from the beach. We just walk down the hill under the tunnel next to the station and there’s the beach!! I love it there nice walk and peaceful with just the right amount of people! ;-)

Llandudno is one of my favourite places for a local short break.

Osbourne House for opulent dinner. Cottage Loaf nice food pub. Kings Head, Snowdon good pubs. Kings Head has a fantastic sun trap terrace. Nice walk round Marine Drive with a nice cafe half way round with brilliant views and if you’re feeling energetic carry on along West shore to Conwy.

The Nevill pub shows football but it’s a bit rubbish. One47 on the main streeet probably your best bet.

A little known area at the very top of Nant Y Gamar road give unrivalled views of the town, Conwy Castle and Snowdonia.

A pint of San Miguel on the pier is a must do this weather!
