Llandudno

I remember going there as a kid in 76. 78 and 83.
Only been once since.
There used to be something called Happy Valley on the Orme don't know if it's still there.

The parking in Llandudno is a bastard. Even off-season you can hardly find a place, and from March-to October you've no chance.

If you are looking for a good meal, ‘Indulge’ is worth a shout. It’s near the church just off Mostyn Street. Not cheap but not outrageous. Everything about it is good and the food is great.

We go there every year for at least a couple of days out. It's horrendous during peak times, but charming if you know the when and how.

Parking is an issue unless you know, and sorry but I ain't telling. I will say the Victoria shopping centre isn't a bad shout usually. If you're day tripping consider Conwy first and then Llandudno after 3pm when the lugs all start heading home. There's a street towards the back of the church with a few good pubs etc used to have the catalogue shop on it, no idea if it does now.

We do the usual English seaside things, chippy, beach, regret the beach, pier... But we like it. Just watch out in the arcades, they have a newish ticket system for winnings and if you don't grab them straight away you'll find a Scouser pinching them every time.

Not nearly as good as it used to be though. I'd suggest Anglesey for better beaches, Conwy for history and bodnant gardens for a nice walk. As I say above, avoid busy times as it's just ridiculous.

I will however tell you that Providero is a great little cafe for a break away from it all. Great cinnamon buns and they have free reign over the currently unoccupied shop next door, so order, tell then you're next door and enjoy the serenity.
