Confirmed now 1000 councillors lost for the Tories - and still rising.

It seems to have caught them on the hop - it's even worse than the stupid number Greg Hands put out to manage expectations. On track for 1,100 losses. Make no mistake this is off the higher end of the all the pollsters predictions.

Yet they arrogantly go out stating the same stale, vapid, shite - they just look stupid.

In terms of councils trading hands, it is now the worst performance since Major got the world's most historic shoeing in the 1995 locals.

The only reason it's not even worse is because May already attrited 1,300 councillors in 2019. So this is 1,100 on top of the 1,300 she lost.

It's hard to imagine a world where they could become more electorally inept than Theresa May, but here we are.

Add the fact many metropolitan districts like London aren’t included plus Scotland and Wales Labours actual “lead” based on the results would surely be a lot higher .

Lewes = 19 Conservative councillors before, now... nil.
That's a bit of a turnaround!

Even the councils that have declared have some seats still in play that haven’t been announced.

I think there’s just over 100 or so left undeclared and something like 60 being defended by Conservatives.

So 1070-80 seems a likely landing zone.
