Local Elections | Thu 7 May 26

Yesterday some hopeful councillors up for election couldn’t speak English.

That speaks volumes.

Who told you that? The party whose rich, white racist leader, who uses aggressive tax avoidance methods and convinces people that migrants are the issue?

Those guys?

Yes, there is an illegal migration problem, but it's being vastly overplayed in the media. I'm not saying there aren't problem areas, but you've also got local antagonists creating issues on purpose to perpetuate their narratives and agendas. The real issues are the criminal human trafficking gangs and the politicians & their clingon's lining their pockets on hate and fear.
Why do you keep pointing out people being white? Are you racist?

Who'd have thought that the party of hate and division did exactly what they set out to do?

A hate a division that feeds on overt racism, designed to line the pockets of rich, greedy old white men.

Take a good look at the civil rights we currently have, because at the rate they are being eroded we are heading for some very dark times if we don't stand up to this crap.

I would protest but Keir isnt keen on that kind of thing, bloody civil rights

Ooh, some more sober analysis.

London vote drop by Labour and increase in Reform vote lower than elsewhere.
North/Midlands are the most extreme swing to Reform.
South (not London) has both Labour and Conservatives losing votes to Reform.

Problem is British people are feed up seeing this great country which overcame 2 world wars and prevailed being turned into an absolute shithole with every village and town full of god knows what . My father was Hungarian and he cans over here in 56 got a job married and then got a mortgage like a lot of poles Ukraine Pakistani Indian and West Indians but the scum coming In now have got no intention of that and are looking to sponge which is why he country is fucked off abd a change is needed before it’s too late . Provably offended people in here but it’s my opinion .
No offence taken.
I embrace your post as an indicator of why parasites like Farage are able to easily tap into this anger and manipulate people into believing that he will solve your problems. I guarantee that he won't, and when he doesn't he will blame the lawyers and the lefties and the EU and you will feel let down and even more angry than now, only you won't know who to blame so you will blame those he tells you to.

I cannot tell you how to feel but if you feel inclined to investigate his truths and whether they are actually facts, it might help. Just one thing you said would be a starting point: 'The scum coming in now have no intention of that and are looking to sponge." Can you actually back that up with data or any kind of survey? Do you think that the Pakistani and Indians and West Indians were welcomed into the textile towns of Lancashire and the engineering towns of the midlands even though you now infer their positive impact? I assume that you know that those seeking asylum are not allowed to work.

What people observe in their local community becomes the reality, regardless of facts and figures. 2yrs in and for many they have observed no positive change whether that be on a local or national level. Pot holes still there, run down high streets etc. Minimum wage increases are great but prices continue to rise, the net result might be that you have £10 more in your pocket at the end of the month, but that £10 buys nothing. Changes to workers rights but less jobs due to businesses cutting back.

The expectation for many was a step change with Labour in power, but in reality the changes have barely moved the needle.

It may not be realistic to see change in such a short time, but we live in a world where you can click a button to buy something and 2 hours later you get it delivered to your door. The audience that traditional parties used to serve has changed and they need to adapt accordingly.

Great post.
It is also a truth that the positive changes that have happened are buried by our media, but the problems are amplified and headlined. Social media bots do the rest.

No illegal migration isn't the problem at all, the numbers involved are still (just about) statistically irrelevant, the small boats are nothing but a deliberately manufactured distraction ploy to whip up the morons on both the Left and the Right.

The real issue is mass immigration in its entirety in all its various forms and guises, something where the billionaires and the Socialists have formed a quite despicable and evil unholy alliance to instigate and proliferate it for their own particular self serving vested interests.

Though obv no change in Labour control, the Greens are the biggest winners in Manchester. Of the 24 seats Labour lost, 17 went to the Greens and 7 to Reform. Going through the individual wards now.

Majority white former mining town which suffers from culled services, poverty, lack of housing, and lack of employment. That is prime Reform territory, for sure, and you can duplicate that across much of the north and the midlands.
And a lot of Wales, our only hope is Plaid
