Lockdown living tips

Jogging. If you're a beginner, start with the Couch to 5k app. Stick with the programme, and you'll enjoy it and benefit greatly. Aim to do a Parkrun when they open again.

Cooking, if you can get the ingredients. Much tastier and more satisfying than pre-prepared shop meals. It kills time, and will be a skill for life.

Reading. Start with the all time best seller, the Bible.
I was with you till the last point

I actually like staying in but not sure how I will feel after months of it. The garden has been on my list of must do jobs for a while so if I am going to be spending a lot of time in it, I best get on with it!

40,0000 people have been arrested over the last few week in italy for breaking lock down rules with the most severe cases (being infected and going out) now carrying a 12 year prison sentence.

Read

Exercise - Joe Wickes for 20mins or similar

Only watch the news for updates, don’t have it on all day

A couple hours of radio to hear real people’s stories

Keyboard app on the Surface Pro has been good the past few days. Mrs Hef now thinks she’s Alicia Keys and we are looking into getting a real electric keyboard from Amazon. Should be good fun

Good!

Think they’ve been handing out €1500 fines in Spain if you’re caught taking to someone in close proximity too.

I think I’ll start with some non-fiction reading first.

How long are people thinking we will be in lockdown for.
Some are saying 2 weeks some a month.

We have written up a daily schedule to create order in the day, with kids at home.

Same times getting up and going to bed.

Same time for when their lessons start. School uniform and shoes on.

We have organised PE sessions once a day for an hour in the garden, using skipping ropes and my boxing pads.

Took them to Sale Water Park today and had a lovely long walk around the surrounding trails, so plenty of social distance available.

Depends how much damage the government did by dragging their heels for so long and how much damage the society’s dullards have done in spreading it about.

I can see the population’s disdain for following advice given to them by scientists+doctors going back weeks, and the government going back five days, is going to see numbers worse than Italy here. I really do.

I can see at least a 1 month lockdown here. Maybe a lot longer!

I had isolation enforced on me a decade ago for different reason,i won't pretend it is not hard to start with,it is massively easier if you are well though,do all the jobs you have putting off, keep everything clean and uncluttered, get out in the garden every day, fresh air is underated, eat well and stay positive, you can still go for walks away from people

I have had football as my company but there is still plenty of things to watch on the telly and online, you can find every city game so you can get your football fix

Reconnect with family, lives are busy, nobody talks anymore, now you have plenty of time to talk

I like being in my bubble but it is not easy to adapt if you are not used to it,it will end eventually of that there is no doubt

Till september well that is the expected extreme case scenario my work was told about college closures

it’ll go on long beyond the start of a new term.
We are still 8-12 weeks from this thing peaking then a similar time scale to get to where we are now.
