My girls have told me that if I don't die of the virus, they'll kill me if I go out of the house or use my car! I suppose I'm in the "vulnerable" class being 70 in 3 weeks, with medical conditions (diabetes, etc), so I have no option. They won't even let me decorate, and spent yesterday painting the front bedroom, having firstly been shopping for me. I'm really proud of them.
I've always been a reader, and have a bookcase full of novels from SF to Pratchett, Cussler, Baldacci, Childs, etc, plus several cookery books and historical novels. Currently, I'm re-reading for the nth time the "Lensman" series by E E "Doc" Smith, written in the 50s. Not as old as Flash Gordon, but in the same style.
Having read the previous posts, I may learn another language and update my French, as I'm getting rusty not having been for 4 years.
It's taken a plague to get me to do this. Why has it taken so long?
