lol samuel is bricking it.

Brilliant journalism.

He can't go to City because United fans would hate him. Genius.

That's just wrong!

I just wonder if he's the photographers mate, who's gone to the ground specifically for that picture.

If not and the guy is a City fan, its fucking cringe worthy!

Mullet hair cut?

Must be a Norwegian Rag!

Two things made me PMSL yesterday.

The first was Ladyman being interviewed on 5 Live outside the swamp after bacon face's press conference.
Ladyman described ferguson "he was a like a bloke still in a state of shock, talking about how he'd just been dumped by his girlfriend, you know before the bitterness and hatred comes in"

and Pat Nevin last night again on 5 Live

"It was reading between the lines of what SAF actually said. He gave specific dates at the start of August, so to him it was obvious that Wayne Rooney has been tapped up whilst away with England and SAF is not surprisingly absolutely furious"

Non-starter according to the sun (from another post) as Fergie won't sell him to us ;-)

I really hate all these assumptions that we'll just offer Rooney more cos we can...I think there's much more mileage in steering well clear of him.

It's more of a statement to state we don't need him...that certainly backs and supports the squad we have already

Martin Samuel has generally been fair to us since the takeover (certainly in comparison to most other journalists) and most of what he says in that article is spot on; not once does he say anything against us.

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/manchester-united/8074340/Chelsea-prepare-20m-bid-for-unsettled-Manchester-United-striker-Wayne-Rooney.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/footba ... ooney.html</a>

then if pride comes before a fall he better brace himself for this and the bag full of peanuts spurs will offer

Spot on. What Samuel has missed or chosen to overlook is that Rooney spends most of his spare time with his in laws in Liverpool. A place where even glory hunting rags are scarce.
It's unlike him to miss out that detail but the piece is more than a little mischievous so he probably chose to leave it out

martin samuel is shit scared of us getting rooney.

how desperate is this fat fuck? i would like him of course i would but the fact thats he wants away from them is proof enough for me that the tick has well and truly tocked.

reading samuel panic to adds to the enjoyment.

Sigh, Samuel isn't scared of us getting Rooney - he's making a valid point. And, anyway, why would he be scared? He's been one of our only media allies AND he's a West Ham fan. He has enough to worry about.
