London Based Blues

I was in London Branch back in 79 and am now moving weekdays to Reading. What's the best branch to join up with Thames Valley or London? Still heading back North though almost every weekend

No differerence as far as early tkts etc and dont know about meets. Nothing has really been happening with LOSC so trying to build it back up. A few from here meet quite regularly hence my post before yours. I can forward an application form if yoy PM your email.

Sounds like you're doing alright with this Tony. Make London Sky Blue:-)

A london based city supporters club...surely not...only utd have fans in london

knob off I lived in London from 1980 to 1987 and went everywhere with the London Blues - was always half and half, exiled Mancunians such as myself, and others from all over the south east who liked City cos they weren't quite brave enough for suicide!

Yes, seeing friends and family who have been going for years sat in a pub on a saturday is a sad state of affairs.
Don't get me wrong there are a lot of southern reds who have followed the club since the 70's and I have no issue with them. I have issues with families coming up from Surrey for a day trip and taking the place of a local utd fan

what local utd fans?

That's her, she was running the branch way back in the days. Fair play to her for keeping it going.
Out of interest where about in London are you based?
Carol Darville rings a bell. She used to run it back in the late '80s and theturn out was pretty good. Well before t'internet and e-mails but still pretty efficient.

I think Carol and Colin Darville were involved and Tina as well, and Stan?

Carol is still branch secretary but returned to Stockport some time ago hence the lack of meetings I think. Don't know about the others though.

Oh and last shout for meeting at The York, Angel tonight 1930hrs !
