Long Lost Manchester Pubs.

It does make you wonder just how much they could charge for a sausage or a glass of 'mulled wine" before people stop paying it. Not been to the Christmas market for a couple of years but last time we went we didn't buy anything. Mostly over priced crap.
I can only think some people are on megabucks.

I mean, I'm not hard up. In fact, for a pensioner, I'm flush. But that doesn't mean I came down in the last shower and can be ripped off with silly prices.

But there must be a lot of people in Greater Manchester who are seriously loaded. And maybe to them, £8 for a sausage is nothing. I suppose the trouble with being an old git is I can still remember buying 4 pints of Holts for £1 and getting change! I think it's time to think about cutting a '0' off the currency.

I meant in terms of putting money into the till of a company owned by a complete ball sack. i.e the guy who owns Smiths is even more of a **** than the guy who owns Spoons.
For many both Spoons and Sinclairs are a rare cheap Pint these day when the average is £5+ in town

I think they buy vastly overpriced food and 'Christmas' crap as part of the 'experience'. It's a matketing triumph as is so much these days, people are driven by FOMO and instagram/facbook/tweeter etc etc. I think they need pictures of themselves at the Chrismas market, eating a wurst and so on for their 'friends on social media. A few years ago we were at Lake Konigssee in Bavaria, it's magnificent and we were just sat on a bench on the shore taking in the stunning views to kill an hour waiting for a boat tour. A coachload of Japanese tourists pulled up and over the next ten minutes they queued up to stand in exactly the same spot and took a selfie then got straight back on the coach and drove off. An elderly German couple were sat on a bench near us and we looked at each other, didn't say a word but we both shook our heads at the same time. Crazy times.
